Race Car Hire
Drivers can hire a seat in a car for an individual race or Series of Races. These cars are prepared by Backadraft.
Included in Race Hire packages is the following:
A BDRT prepared 300bhp Cobra Race car. All Fuel, Tyres, Insurance for the car (R 30,000 excess), Mechanic, Spares, Hospitality at circuit (drinks and cold snacks).
Details
All drivers must have the required Race Licences and all entry fees are the responsibility of the individual Driver.
Race seats for hire are limited in terms of availability and are allocated on a strictly first come first serve basis.

Fly – Drive – Holiday Race Packages
Fly and drive fully prepared Cobra Race cars are available for all the races on the 2024 race Calendar.
Backdraft can arrange Accommodation for overseas drivers and co-ordinate travel so international drivers have the opportunity not only to drive Backdraft Cobras but also enjoy some of the best
hospitality that South Africa can offer.
Due to demand there are a limited number of cars available for each race. Fly and drive seats in the Cobras are strictly on a first come first serve basis.
All drivers must have the applicable Race Licence and a letter of recommendation from their National Motorsport governing body.
The International Race Series (October to March)
Of particular interest to overseas drivers is our Fly Drive 2 Race Packages which are offered from October through March every race season. These events are specifically tailored to overseas drivers who wish to travel to South Africa to Race in a European Winter. Each Package includes two Races at two different circuits in South Africa over two weekend, 11 night stay.
